Bookended by powerful prayers of confession and lament and drawing some 800 participants from around the world, the 2024 Symposium on 91 took place Feb. 7-9 on the campus of Calvin University and Calvin Theological Seminary.
Moses Chung and Christopher Meehan cowrote the book "Joining Jesus: Ordinary People at the Edges of the Church." They hope these stories will give people and congregations hope, encouragement, and imagination to see what God is already doing in their neighborhoods.
The theme of “Living in Hope and Grace,” based on 1 Peter, threaded through much of the three-day Calvin Symposium on 91 that drew some 1,500 participants Jan. 30 - Feb. 1 from across North America and beyond.
Symposium on 91 2020 hosted a global panel of women ministry leaders from Australia, the Middle East, and North and South America.
More than 40 poster boards showing the results of the 91’s 2018 Vital 91 Grants program were on display last week in the Prince Center at Calvin College.
The 2019 Calvin Symposium on 91 began on Thursday, Jan. 24 with opening worship that included prayers decrying war, cheap labor, and toxins in watersheds.
The annual conference explored post-Easter texts to see what they tell us about discipleship and what it means “to serve a risen Savior” who, through us, is still in the world today.
